OPENING OF 2019/2020 ACADEMIC YEAR FOR WEEKEND DIPLOMA AND ODL PROGRAMMES

Following the University of Malawi (UNIMA) Council’s approval of names of candidates who have been admitted into the University to pursue various Diploma and ODL programmes for the 2019/2020 academic year on non-residential basis, the Polytechnic would like to inform its newly selected candidates that the College shall open the new academic year as follows:

(1) OPENING DATE FOR  WEEKEND DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES SEMESTER 1:  16th November, 2019

ORIENTATION TO FIRST YEAR STUDENTS

Orientation shall be conducted on Saturday 16th November, 2019.  All first year students are advised to attend orientation sessions which will start from 9:00am in the Main Lecture Theatre. Classes will commence on 17th November, 2019.

REGISTRATION 

Students are expected to register within the first two (2) weeks of the semester and only those who pay fees will be registered. Students are advised that the College policy is “NO FEES, NO REGISTRATION” and therefore should be adhered to strictly. 

MODE OF FEES PAYMENT 

Tuition fee is K400, 000.00 per year. This should be paid in full at the beginning of the academic year or in two (2) equal installments at the beginning of each semester.

All selected students should contact the College to be given their individual account details. 

Students pay for all other expenses including identity cards, accommodation, upkeep and stationery.

(2) OPENING DATE FOR  ODL PROGRAMMES SEMESTER 1:  to be announced

MODE OF FEES PAYMENT 

Tuition fee is K400, 000.00 per year. This should be paid in full at the beginning of the academic year or in two (2) equal installments at the beginning of each semester.

ADMISSION LETTERS

Students admitted into both programmes should collect their admission letters at The Polytechnic campus, Central Registry (Academic)
