The Faculty of Applied Sciences through the Office of the Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research at The Polytechnic, a constituent college of the University of Malawi would like to invite interested members of the general public to its first-ever PhD public defence (viva voce examination) to be held on Friday, 15th November 2019.

The function will take place in the Auditorium of the new ICT/ODL Building at the Polytechnic in Blantyre from 9 o’clock in the morning.

The public presentation of a PhD thesis entitled: “Fast Typing Central- Bantu Keyboard; Optimization Language Structure, Algorithms and Models” will be made by Thokozani Chimkono, a PhD student in Applied Sciences (Information Technology) offered in the Department of Computing and Information Technology (CIT), Faculty of Applied Sciences.

The presentation is expected to start at 9.00 am and all people invited to attend the presentation are expected to be seated by 8.40 am.
