Young people in sub-Saharan Africa are most likely to die or be seriously injured by being in a road traffic crash. Malawian young people are also one of the country’s greatest assets.

A group of inspirational young people from the Jacaranda School for Orphans (Blantyre) have been working with academics from Malawi and Scotland to tackle the challenging issue of road safety around their school environment.

Using a novel combination of arts, child rights education, peer leadership and community engagement these young people are working to improve their road safety and the road safety of others. We hope that this will be the first in a series of similar projects.

You are invited to attend a Seminar led by the young people and the team behind the project.  There will be presentations of the work they have done and a call to action to improve the local road environment.

All welcome.  Free Entry and refreshments.
